What is close Up Magic?

‘Close Up Magic’ using cards, coins, elastic bands, almost anything one can get their hands on is suited for all events including weddings, drinks receptions, buffets and dinner parties. James Bryan can perform Close Up Magic anywhere, with guests standing or seated – formal or informal. While people are seated, they can experience the magic right at the table side! Mind Over Magic Stand Up Show

“A thoroughly entertaining 25 minute show – suited for small audiences such as at Christmas party or as an after dinner show, to a larger event up to 500 people.”

‘Cabaret or After Dinner Performances’ always require a highly polished professional act and Ace Productions cannot fail to deliver on this front. For groups of 15 adults or more, a new show called ‘Mind Over Magic’ is a demonstration of ‘mind miracles’ being performed by merely using your brain in new ways! This has become more widely known in the media as ‘Mind Control’.

Using the power of suggestion, analysing ones subliminal body language and a little bit of suggestion , this show uses psychological effects in a warm entertaining manner. No information is passed to James before the show, however he is still able to perform experiments on the general public with unexplainable results. Many spectators can only conclude that some form of ‘psychic ability‘ must be in place!

James Bryan Biography

James appeared for the first time when he was born in Oxfordshire in the early 1980’s. His favourite toy when growing up was his Fisher Price Magic Set & would consequently attempt to baffle friends & family! By the age of 12 he was already performing professionally & in 1995 James received what he recalls as ‘his big break’ in magic. Living just down the road from his parents’ house was one of the advisors from the Paul Daniels TV Magic Show. After numerous pleading phone calls to this gentleman, James finally convinced him to be his tutor. It was this tuition that took James to working at a professional level & now one of the UK’s best performers in his field.
James has become well known on the circuit & highlights include performing on ITV Television while also performing for celebrities including Jose Mouriniho, Ant & Dec, Take That & Jonathan Ross.

Having mastered the art of misdirection, sleight of hand & showmanship, James is capable of entertaining at almost any event. While he has performed magic & illusions since a young age, in more recent years he has trained in ‘Mind Control’. This stemmed from the mass public interest in the television hit; Derren Brown Mind Control. Derren performs his supposed mind-reading ability, which he himself describes as a combination of different skills, including the ability to read subtle physical signs, body language, and manipulating what his subjects are thinking through subtle suggestions.
